NMU Music Department Explores Advisory Group September 27th

Marquette, MI – The Northern Michigan University music department is exploring the possibility of forming a community advisory committee with the goal of advancing the department’s mission. An exploratory meeting for interested community arts supporters, alumni and music teachers will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in Bresnan room 2810 in the West Science Building. Those planning to attend are asked to notify the department at music@nmu.edu.

The meeting will address the pros, cons and logistics related to forming such a group. Robert Engelhart, head of the music department, said he could potentially meet with an advisory committee one or two times per year to review activities, share plans and receive feedback and suggestions.
