Afternoon Classic Film at PWPL – Jane Eyre – October 6th

Marquette, MI – Afternoon Classic Films presents a screening of “Jane Eyre” starring Orson Welles, Joan Fontaine and Margaret O’Brien on Monday, October 6 at 1:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.

Based on the 1847 novel by Charlotte Bronte and adapted for the screen by Aldous Huxley, this romantic drama is about orphan Jane Eyre. After a harsh childhood, Jane is hired by Edward Rochester, the brooding lord of a mysterious manor house to care for his young daughter.

Released in 1943, “Jane Eyre” is shown in black and white and runs for 97 minutes.
