Seney – The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in cooperation with the Seney Natural History Association, invites youth ages 7 to 17, to participate in the 3rd Annual Youth in the Outdoors event on Saturday, September 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Seney National Wildlife Refuge, 5 miles south of Seney on M77.
There will be 9 different activities to choose from which include mini sessions, long sessions, and half day sessions. Activities include Outdoor Cooking, Archery, Pond and Stream Safari, Owl Pellet Dissection, Chocolay Birds of Prey show, GPS Scavenger Hunt, Art Outdoors, and Digital Nature Photography.
The event will be held rain or shine. Only 12 kids will be allowed per session. Spots are limited and registration is requested by September 22. There is a $5 registration fee. Youth will need to bring a sack lunch the day of the event, lunch is not provided.
