Marquette – Osama Medany, a professor of English at Egypt’s Minoufiya University, will discuss the role of the arts in the Arab Spring and the 2011 Egyptian uprising during a talk on Thursday, September 4 at 6 p.m. in the Huron Room of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.
This presentation is part of the “Art and Revolution in the Middle East and North Africa” mini-lecture series at NMU and is free and open to the public. The series is sponsored by NMU’s Black Student Union, College of Arts and Sciences and the departments of history, English and modern languages and literatures.
