MARQUETTE, MI – The Big Water Community Sing is gearing up for another great season on Sunday, September 7 from 3:30-5:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Community room.
Song leader, Corinne Rockow, gets the music started for a fun and energetic vocal jam session for folks of all ages and abilities who want to sing. The first half hour is devoted to lively music for young children.
Studies show that community singing helps maintain our sense of well-being and happiness. At a community sing everyone joins together to sing familiar tunes from years gone by, seasonal music and learn a new song or two. This is not a performance, just singing for the sheer joy of it.
Copies of Rise Up Singing are available at each session. All ages are welcome for this down-home fun monthly gathering.
There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Hiawatha Music Co-op and Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
