L’Anse – Shriners Hospital for Children will offer complimentary screening for kids with 0rthopaedic conditions on Tuesday, August 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, 18341 Highway US 41 South in L’Anse.
All children with a condition of the bones, muscles or joints who would benefit from the specialized care of a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon or in need of a second opinion are welcome for the screening. Parents/guardians can gather information and meet the providers.
Shriners Hospitals for Children Twin Cities is a hospital and clinic providing physical/occupational therapy and orthotic/prosthetic services. They treat conditions such as: arthrogryposis, brittle bone disease, burn scars and other specialized plastic surgery, cerebral palsy, cleft lip, juvenile arthritis, limb deficiency and limb length discrepancy, rickets, spina bifida and other spine conditions.
