Negaunee – The Afternoons at the Museum program will feature “History of Blaney Park” with Dr. James A. Surrell, M.D. on Tuesday, August 5 at 2 p.m. at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum, 73 Forge Road in Negaunee.
Blaney Park was a premier resort in the Upper Peninsula, boasting a golf course, dude ranch, Lake Michigan coast and airstrip. Surrell will share his recollections of summers spent working at the resort during his undergrad days at Northern Michigan University.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. Refreshments will be served.
