Ishpeming – The Northern Light Rave Run 5K and Kids’ 1K race will be held on August 23 beginning with a picnic at 6 p.m. at Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.
This glow-in-the-dark, family-friendly event will get Al Quaal glowing and be a ton of fun. There will be games, a neon obstacle course, and a chance to win a Tablet before the races begin.
The Kids’ 1K takes off at 8 p.m. and the 5K will begin at 9 p.m.. Run through neon forest trails and finish into the dance-party tent with a light show.
Register at www.active.com, www.gincc.org, or stop by the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Chamber of Commerce for a registration form. Registration fees through August 21 are $20 per child, $80 per children’s team, $30 per person for the 5K competitive and fun run, NS $120 for a team. Registration fees increase after August 21.
