Lundin Mining has published its 2013 Sustainability Report which includes topics such as economic responsibility, safety & health, environmental responsibility, biodiversity, and social responsibility.
Sustainability reporting is a best practice employed by leading companies worldwide. By focusing on sustainability, Eagle Mine is better equipped to manage social and environmental impacts and improve operating efficiency and natural resource stewardship. This report also provides an in-depth look at Lundin’s 2014 objectives.
The Report includes all of Lundin’s operations, including: Neves-Corvo (Portugal), Zinkgruvan (Sweden), Aguablanca (Spain), Eagle Mine (United States), Galmoy (Ireland), and Vueltas del Rio (Honduras). Information is also provided about the Tenke Fungurume mine (Democratic Republic of Congo), which Lundin Mining holds a 24% equity interest.
