Wondering what’s going on in the Marquette Master Plan process right now? Well, here is an update.
During an interview here at mediaBrew studios last Friday, the Marquette community development director, Dennis Stanchewicz, mentioned the follow-up survey for community participants. This survey was directed solely at community members who had participated in the initial survey, listening sessions and a community open house. If you were at either of these events, or if you took the first survey, be sure to check your email for the follow-up. The submissions are only being taken until tomorrow the 22nd. The short follow-up survey asks input on favored housing options, community types (commercial vs. residential and how they are mixed) and if the surveyee agrees or disagrees with themes collected from the first survey.
In the interview, there was mention of resources on the Master Plan’s website. When asked about the population of these resources, the community development director responded saying, “…you will start seeing data and maps this week as the Community Engagement Report is being finalized…” Likely after the planning commission’s meeting at 6pm on Thursday, March 23rd.
