Marquette General Diabetes Education will offer a free educational program, “I Don't Have Diabetes, I Just Have High Blood Sugar” on Wednesday, May 7 from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in Conference Room 1 at Marquette General Hospital.
Sessions will include discussion on diagnostic criteria of pre-diabetes and diabetes, goals for control and tools to reach them, basics of nutrition, food and blood sugar control,and creative meal planning.
Nursing contact hours and social work credits are available for a $20 fee, payable at the door. For more information, call Linda Winslow at 225-6923.
