HOUGHTON, Michigan (June 20, 2014) – More than 20 representatives from Michigan Technological University and Upper Peninsula businesses participated in a free training workshop, May 28, to learn how to compete for and win Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) contracts. “Understanding and Navigating DARPA Research and Development, a Michigan-Sponsored Workshop,” was hosted by MTEC SmartZone. The purpose of the workshop is to assist early-stage technologies along a path of commercialization while increasing the amount of federally sponsored DARPA research and development funding that comes into Michigan.
