U.P. Book Tour To Make Stop at Library August 15th

Marquette, Michigan – The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center will be hosting a discussion on Giving Motherhood a Voice: A Conversation about the Creative Lives of Women on Friday, August 15 at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library, located at 217 N. Front Street, Marquette.

Author, editor, artist and blogger Suzi Banks Baum has organized an afternoon of “mothers reading to others” with live words and a conversation with local women artists and the audience. Joining Banks Baum will be authors Kathy Drue, Monica Devine and singer/composer Terri Bocklund who will share their work and host this lively conversation about the intersection of motherhood and creativity.

The book tour will be stopping at locations in Escanaba, Marquette, Big Bay and Ishpeming. This is a free event and the public is encouraged to attend. For additional information, contact the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center at 906-228-0472 or e-mail arts-culture@mqtcty.org.
