Ishpeming – The Ishpeming Independence Day Celebration will begin on Friday, July 4 at 8:45 a.m. with the Firecracker 5K Race at the Al Quaal Recreation Area. Registration will be from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Flag raising will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Ishpeming Post Office and the Kids’ Parade will begin at 10 a.m. from the Mather Inn. The main 4th of July Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The Community/Family Picnic will begin at noon at the Al Quaal Recreation Area. There will also be activities for all ages amd live music, Fireworks will begin at 10:30 p.m.
