The Medical Care Access Coalition will sponsor an awareness walk and health fair on Saturday, May 3 at the Marquette Commons in recognition of Cover the Uninsured Week.
Registration for the walk begins at 8 a.m. Participants will receive a Cover the Uninsured Week umbrella. The walk route is approximately 3 miles. A shorter route is planned for those unable to walk the entire length.
Gary Muller, CEO of Marquette General Health System,various legislators, and community leaders will offer remarks at 9 a.m.
A community health fair will begin at 10 a.m. with health screenings, blood pressure checks and resources and information to help individuals and families access medical and social services county-wide.
