Marquette – Shakespeare Readers will meet for a reading of “Volpone” by Shakespeare contemporary Ben Jonson, on Wednesday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The comedy “Volpone,” is a satire of greed and lust and is Jonson’s most performed play. Jonson was an English playwright, critic and poet during the 17th century and is considered the second most important English dramatist after Shakespeare of that time.
