Now is the time to start planning your summer 5K’s, so make sure you mark your calendar for August 23, 2014 for the Northern Lights Rave Run 5K and Kids’ 1K. The event will be held at Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.
Because this is a night-time run, we encourage all participants to dress up in costumes, glow-paint, glow sticks, and whatever else they can think of.
Before the race, there will be games, a picnic festival, vendors, and more.
We are currently seeking sponsors and vendors for the Rave Run. We are excited to host a new event and hope that you will continue your amazing support that has been in shown in the past with the Suicide Hill Mud Plunge.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
6PM – Day-of registration, packet pick up, picnic festival begins
8PM – Kids’ Race begins
8:30-9PM – Kids’ Race awards ceremony
9PM – 5K Competitive Run begins, Fun Run to follow
(The first wave of Fun Runners will likely be released between 9:15PM-9:30PM)
Registration is now open through www.active.com, or stop by the Chamber office for a registration form. The next price jump occurs JUNE 1ST! Early registration guarantees a t-shirt and racer goodie bag.

Kids’ 1K:
$20.00 through August 23rd
* If registering a Kids’ Team, it is $20 per child (4-6 people on a team)
5K Competitive Run Individual and Fun Run Individual:
Now-June 1st: $25.00
June 2nd-August 21st: $30.00
August 22nd and 23rd: $35.00
5K Competitive Run Team and Fun Run Team:
(Teams may consist of 4-6 people)
Now-June 1st: $100-$150 ($25 per person)
June 2nd-August 21st: $120-$180 ($30 per person)
August 22nd and 23rd: $140-$210 ($35 per person)
