Calendar – Films/Documentaries – “Twelve O’Clock High” Film Screening – June 2

Marquette – Afternoon Classic Films will present a screening of “Twelve O’Clock High” starring Gregory Peck and Hugh Marlowe on Monday, June 2 at 1:30 pm in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

In the early days of daylight bombing raids over Nazi Germany, General Frank Savage must take command of a “hard luck” bomber group. Much of the story deals with his struggle to whip his group into a disciplined fighting unit in spite of heavy losses, and withering attacks by German fighters over their targets. Actual combat footage is used in this tense war drama.

Released in 1949, the film is shown in black and white and runs for 143 minutes. There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
