Republic Arts Council 1st Annual Mining the Arts Festival 2014 May 24th & 25th

The Republic Arts Council will be hosting the first annual “Mining the Arts“ Arts Festival in Republic, Michigan on May 24 and 25. Artists, artisans, and crafters will be displaying and selling their unique creations for the public.

Republic Arts Council is a newly formed non profit organization with 501(c)3 status pending. All proceeds from the festival will go back to the community in the form of educational and community based needs and events.

Local artist, John Mykkanen, will be demonstrating his chainsaw carving. Joyce Koskenmaki and Stacy Vaughn Davis will be doing art demonstrations and will team up to do a piece together which will also create a piece for a silent auction. Other crafters and artisans will also be offering demonstrations.

There will be food, shopping, and fun for all. Please join us at Republic’s Munson Park from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to help support our local artists, artisans, and crafters on May 24 and 25.

If you would like more information, please contact Stacy Vaughn Davis at 906-376-8881, check us out on Facebook, or contact us at republicartscouncil@gmail.com.
