GRiZ Performs at NMU April 3rd

MARQUETTE, Mich.— Northern Arts & Entertainment of Northern Michigan University will sponsor a performance by electronic artist and producer GRiZ at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in Vandament Arena.

GRiZ works with various genres, including hip-hop, house music, funk, soul, electronic and jazz. The 23-year old Detroit native has played piano and saxophone. He works to incorporate these sounds into his own style of “electro-soul.”

GRiZ put out his first album, Mad Liberation, in 2012 for free, which garnered public attention. Since then, he has opened his own record label titled Liberated Music and headlined his first tour, “Rebel Era,” in 2013.

Tickets for GRiZ are $15 with an NMU student ID and $22 for the general public. They may be purchased at any NMU EZ Ticket outlet.
