Red Earth Classic – July 2014

The event is the Red Earth Classic. This year the Red Earth Classic is partnering with the Italian Fest to bring a weekend of fun, family-friendly events to the Ishpeming area. The classic will include short and long track races for all ages and levels of expertise. Also, GLRC will have a silent auction and the Italian Festival will be held to make for an exciting weekend for the community.

As the community sponsor, proceeds from the silent auction will go to Great Lakes Recovery Centers to provide substance abuse and mental health treatment services in 11 Upper Peninsula communities. GLRC is a nationally accredited, non-denominational non-profit organization and we have been serving the UP for over 30 years. We operate adult residential treatment facilities in Marquette and Sault Ste. Marie.

Additionally, GLRC operates the only facility that specializes in serving the unique needs of adolescents (ages 12-17) in northern Michigan.
