Calendar – Groups – Readers Theater to Meet – Feb. 20

Marquette – Readers Theater will meet for a reading of “The Floating Light Bulb” by Woody Allen on Thursday, February 20 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Staged on Broadway in 1981, “The Floating Light Bulb” is Woody Allen’s bittersweet comedy set in 1945 Brooklyn. As Enid and Max Pollack grapple with each other and their unfulfilled dreams, their stuttering teenage son Paul retreats from his fear of people into a world of magical illusions.

Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New readers are always welcome.
