Afternoon Classic Films presents a screening of “Guys and Dolls” on Monday, February 3rd

MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN – Afternoon Classic Films presents a screening of “Guys and Dolls” on Monday, February 3 at 1:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.

Starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra, the musical comedy is based on the Pulitzer Prize nominated play with music by composer and lyricist Frank Loesser. In New York, a gambler is challenged to take a female missionary to Havana, but they fall for each other, and the bet has a hidden motive to finance a crap game.

Released in 1955, Guys and Dolls also stars Jean Simmons and Vivian Blaine, won two Golden Globe Awards, earned four Oscar nominations and runs for 150 minutes.

There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
