MSHS Poetry Out Loud Championship Rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 15th

The third annual Marquette Senior High School Poetry Out Loud Recitation Championship has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 15th. The originally scheduled date was cancelled due to the Polar Vortex.

The MSHS Championship will be held in the Shirley Smith Little Theatre, beginning at approximately 12:45 and running until 2:20.

Approximately 20 MSHS students will recite two poems each, with the MSHS Champion advancing to the State Championship in Lansing later this year.

Poetry Out Loud is sponsored by the Michigan Humanities Council, the Poetry Foundation and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
