The 12th Annual NMU Jazz Festival will take place on Friday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette. Trombonist/Composer Dean Sorenson and violinist Randy Sabien with the NMU Jazz Combo and NMU Jazz Band will be featured.
Tickets, available at all NMU EZ Ticket outlets, are $10 for the general public, $1 for NMU students and $7 for non-NMU students. The concert is sponsored by the NMU Music Department, NMU Friends of Jazz and the NMU College of Arts and Sciences.
During the day, jazz groups from 27 Michigan middle schools and high schools will perform in Jamrich Hall and Reynolds Recital Hall. In addition, guest performers and clinicians will hold master classes in Reynolds Recital Hall throughout the day.
