The Marquette County Community Foundation will distribute a total of $82,201 as a result of its fall grant cycle and the Huron Mountain Club fund. An additional $9,605 was already distributed on December 4th at a separate event for affiliate community funds of Ishpeming and Negaunee.
On Monday, January 6th at 3:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Powell Township School the Marquette County Community Foundation, on behalf of the Huron Mountain Club Fund will distribute $45,600 to a number of Big Bay entities such as the Powell Township School, Bay Cliff, Powell Township Fire Department and a number of other nonprofit agencies.
On Thursday, January 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the Little Theater at Marquette Senior High School the Marquette County Community Foundation will distribute grants to the community of Marquette totaling $21,378 and Youth Advisory Grants totally $15,223.
These distributions are a result of the 2013 fall grant cycle that local nonprofit organizations were invited to apply for funding available through the Marquette Fund, the Greater Ishpeming Area Community Fund, Negaunee Area Community Fund, Youth Advisory Committee Funds and several other endowed funds held at the Marquette County Community Foundation. Registered 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations or individuals associated with those organizations were encouraged to apply for program funding that involves the support of charitable, scientific, literary, artistic or educational purposes for the public welfare of the people of the Marquette County.
