The Marquette Regional History Center presents: From Deer Camps to Grand Camps – January 30, 2013

From Deer Camps to Grand Camps–A History in Photos

Jack Deo, of Superior View Photos, will present, on the big screen, vintage photographs of deer camps from all over the Upper Peninsula. There will be pictures of some of the roughest hunting camps to some of the finest. You will see photos of grand lodges of the McCormick Tract, the Huron Mountain Club and Granot Loma. We will pay tribute to Buck LeVasseur with some great images and stories, and invoke Fred Rydholm when we view many of his classic photographs. Jack is very entertaining and you will learn something, too. Thank you to RTI/Pioneer Surgical for sponsoring this event.

This event takes place at Kaufman Auditorium on Thursday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets in advance are $12; $15 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Purchase tickets at the History Center or online at marquettehistory.org
