Marquette Food Co-op and NMU Sustainable Living Club will host the 2nd Annual Farm Intern and Volunteer Fair on Thursday, February 19, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Pioneer Rooms of the University Center at NMU.
The event is open to the public. Anyone interested in being part of the local farm community and experiencing the challenges and joys of working on a farm, as well as those who are simply curious, are encouraged to attend.
Local farmers will give brief presentations about internships and volunteer opportunities on their respective farms. Participants will then have the opportunity to pick up handouts and speak directly to the farmers.
