(MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN) – The City of Marquette is proud to announce Kathy Peters as the January Main Gallery exhibit. Peters, a Lake Superior Art Association (LSAA) member, will exhibit winter scene inspired quilts created over the past 26 years including Presque Isle’s moose, sled dog races, ice fishing, saunas and the Hyakutaki comet.
The new SmallWorks Gallery will feature Corbin Lutz. Lutz, also a LSAA member, studied under renowned watercolor artist, Nita Engle. Lutz paints primarily with watercolors and acrylics.
Both exhibits will be displayed from January 7-Februrary 1. There will be an opening reception for both artists on Thursday, January 9 at 6-8p.m. Refreshments will be available and the public is encouraged to attend. The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.
