Hi, I’m Nancy and I am a writer at Great Lakes Radio. I know what it’s like to stay up nights searching through the Writer’s Market, hoping to find some opportunity that was previously overlooked. I know the frustration of sending queries, waiting on responses and just trying to get your foot in the door.
We need a couple more web editors with writing skills here at Great Lakes Radio. We’re looking for talented individuals who can spell correctly and understand the English language. Position: Part-Time
Salary/Pay: $8.25 per hour, based on experience, education and demonstrated initiative.
Position Opens/Closes: December 15, 2013 and will remain open until 2 part-time positions filled or position is withdrawn.
Required Skills:
- General office skills are required including, but not limited to: sales support, completing reports, filing and organizational skills, excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft or Open Office programs, typing accuracy, excellent writing and editing skills for online posts, email and newsletters, simple presentations skills, proposal editing, promotional script writing from time-to-time, email, internet account management, detail-oriented policy adherence, and communications and writing skills focused on promotional and marketing success
- Good client and communication skills are required
- The candidate should be comfortable with online activities such as online sales (eBay, Craig’s List, PayPal, etc.) Social networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) is also highly valued
- You must display meticulous care with business correspondence – displaying the ability to effectively persuade
- This position will require quickly learning a wide range of skills while applying training, experience and skills to writing projects, sales support, and other administrative assistant tasks
- Online writing and persuasive sales writing experience is preferred, but the ability to succeed — not a formal education — is the most desired trait for this position.

Other Requirements:
A flexible mind, honesty, attention to details, great attitude, positive interaction with customers, clients, and salespeople are very important qualities for the successful candidate. You must be willing and able to learn new skills, apply them successfully, and work in a highly challenging, multitasking environment. A driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
