High School Show Choirs Perform at NMU November 19th

Marquette, Mich. —Northern Michigan University’s Lake Effect Show Choir is hosting the SING! DANCE! Concert on Tuesday, Nov. 19. It begins at 6:30 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall and is the final event of a day-long high school show choir workshop. The concert is free and open to the public.

The NMU music department and the Superior School Music Association are sponsoring the workshop, under the direction of instructor Sharon Green. High school show choirs from Westwood, Gwinn and Ishpeming will receive choreography and vocal instruction from clinician Lora-jean M. Jones and NMU theater professor Paul Truckey.

The concert includes individual performances from each high school show choir and from selected soloists. A combined performance, choreographed by Jones, will conclude the show.
