(Marquette, MI) – The Marquette Choral Society will present a concert of Christmas music titled “Carols in the Cathedral” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette. This concert is free to the public.
The program features classic Christmas carols and a number of lesser-known pieces as found in The Augsburg Choirbook for Advent, Christmas and Epiphany published by Augsburg Fortress Press. Floyd Slotterback, Northern Michigan University music professor, directs the Marquette Choral Society and N. Lynne Koski Lanczy is the accompanist.
