Grand Marais – Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will host the annual AuSable Day on Saturday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the AuSable Lighthouse along the Lake Superior shoreline in Alger County.
The AuSable Day celebration will include free bus shuttle service to the lighthouse from the lower Hurricane River Campground, tours of the light station and fog signal building and refreshments.
The lighthouse is accessible by walking or riding the shuttle bus from the lower Hurricane River Campground at Pictured Rocks. The campground is about 12 miles west of Grand Marais off Alger County Highway 58.
