Houghton – A 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the ROTC Building on the Michigan Tech Campus in Houghton.
This is the day to honor and remember the victims of the September 11th attacks. The Army and Air Force ROTC Joint Honor Guard will be posted at Michigan Tech’s 9/11 Memorial. A brief opening ceremony will be held outside the ROTC building at 7 a.m.. The Honor Guard will remain throughout the day. Students and community members are encouraged to stop by at any point to pay their respects.
A limited number of flowers will be available to place at the memorial for no cost, though community members are welcome and encouraged to bring their own. The closing ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. for the lowering of the flag.
