The Peter White Public Library’s Film Club, welcomes the public to a screening of the modern classic film The Empire Strikes Back on Thursday, August 15 at 1:00 pm in the library’s Community Room.
The fifth episode of the Star Wars film series, The Empire Strikes Back stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. As Luke trains with Master Yoda to become a Jedi Knight, his friends evade the Imperial fleet under the command of Darth Vader who is obsessed with turning Skywalker to the Dark Side of the Force.
Also starring Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, the film was released in 1980, is rated PG and runs for 124 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
