(Marquette, MI)- Afternoon Classic Films presents a screening of “Lawrence of Arabia” on Monday, August 5 at 1:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.
Starring Peter O’Toole and Omar Sharif, this big screen epic adventure follows British adventurer Thomas Edward Lawrence, who blazed his way to glory in the Arabian desert, then sought anonymity as a common soldier under an assumed name in World War I.
The seven time Oscar winner, including Best Picture and Best Director for David Lean, is based on T.E. Lawrence’s memoir The Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
Lawrence of Arabia was released in 1962, is shown in color and runs for 221minutes.
