The Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative (M-A GSC) will be hosting a sunset cruise around Grand Island on August 1 at 6:30. The cruise will raise funds to support early childhood programming in Marquette and Alger Counties.
The fundraiser will depart from Shipwreck Tours in Munising. Tickets are $50, which cover admission to the boat and hors devours on the cruise. There will be a cash bar available on the cruise, with proceeds from sales benefiting M-A GSC.
The funds raised will help support programming for families of young children. In the past, funds have been distributed as scholarships to local preschoolers in need of financial assistance and purchase safe cribs and halo sleep sacks for families in need.
