Marquette – Summer Cinema will present a screening of “Moonrise Kingdom” on Thursday, August 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, this comedy tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore, and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle.
The film was released in 2012, is rated PG-13 and runs for 94 minutes. Summer Cinema invites the public to bring their own takeout supper and enjoy this recently released feature film in a dinner theater setting.
There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
