Transition Marquette County Reading Group to Hold a Conversation on Permaculture Books on May 7th

Marquette, Michigan – The Transition Marquette County Reading Group will hold a conversation on permaculture books, including “The Permaculture Handbook” by Peter Bane, on Thursday, May 9 at 7:00pm in the Conference Room at Peter White Public Library. Permaculture blends ecology and design to shape systems for food, housing, and energy that work with the earth to repair and enrich the living world that sustains us. On a small city lot or 25 acres, permaculture shows how to build community resilience and create more prosperous households and neighborhoods.

Anyone is welcome to join the conversation. It would help to have at least started to read The Permaculture Handbook, or some other permaculture book. For more information, call Charlie at 226-3314 or email mqtchaz@earthlink.net.
