Marquette – Transition Marquette County Reading Group will meet for a discussion of the book “The Year of the Flood” by Margaret Atwood on Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Set in an imaginary future where society is breaking down, the book follows the lives of several of the members of God’s Gardeners, a group devoted to melding science and faith and the preservation of all plant and animal life, as they occupy abandoned buildings and spaces.
