My Indian Kitchen Tasty Reads Book Group Meets at PWPL

Marquette, MI – Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who love to cook, will meet for a lunchtime book discussion at the Peter White Public Library on Monday, April 15 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the library’s Shiras Room. This month’s book selection is My Indian Kitchen by Hari Nayak.

Author and chef Hari Nayak shares the secrets of his family’s style of southern Indian cooking as well as favorite dishes from other parts of the huge Indian subcontinent—secrets that he learned from his mother and aunts, neighbors, local street vendors and countless friends. It is full of hunger-inducing recipes and simple tips that will allow even the novice cook to succeed at unlocking the “hidden magic” of Indian cooking.

Participants are invited enjoy a sample recipe inspired by the book and new members are always welcome. The Tasty Reads meets the third Monday of each month at the library and there is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
