Marquette – Marquette Symphony Orchestra invites the community to its “Heart Strings” concert on Saturday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Kaufman Auditorium.
The performance will showcase the winner of the 2012 Marquette Symphony Young Artist Competition, fifteen-year-old Haeji Kim. In addition to Haeji Kim’s winning performance, the Marquette Symphony Orchestra will also perform “Overture to War and Peace” by Prokofiev and “Symphony No. 2” by Randall Thompson, with Robert Ritsema as the guest conductor.
Adult ticket prices are $17 to $32, student tickets are $12, and children 12 and under are $9. Prior to Friday, February 8, concert tickets may be purchased at any NMU EZ Ticket Outlet, online at www.nmu.edu/tickets or by phone at 227-1032. Day of tickets can be purchased at Kaufman Auditorium beginning at 6:30 p.m.
