Covington – The Ponnistus Athletic Club 28th Annual Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, January 5 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Vermillac Lake in Covington.
There is a $10 registration fee; cash prizes will be awarded for largest walleye, crappie, pike and perch. All registrants qualify for numerous door prizes donated by local merchants. Concessions will be sold throughout the day.
