Marquette – In celebration of Maritime Month, Song of the Lakes will present a concert on Thursday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Forest Roberts Theatre at NMU.
The band plays sea shanties, Irish melodies, acoustic rock, latin, jazz and what they call Great Lakes World Music.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the circulation desk at the Peter White Public Library. All proceeds will benefit the library.
A free children's performance based on the popular children's book, “Paddle to the Sea” will be offered on Friday, August 15 at 1 p.m. at the Peter White Public Library. For more information, call 228-9510.
