Marquette – The Central U.P. Chapter of the Sierra Club will meet on Wednesday, November 28 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Susy Ziegler, from Northern Michigan University’s Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographical Sciences, will give a presentation on “Protecting Nature, Extracting Natural Resources, and Fostering Urban Sustainability in Sweden and Norway.” The program will focus on forest protection and biomass burning and its implications in the Upper Peninsula.
