Calendar – Benefits/Fundraisers – Trim the Tree for Special Olympics – Nov. 29

Marqueette – The annual “Trim the Tree for Special Olympics” will be held on Thursday, November 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Marquette’s Holiday Inn.

Honorary chair for this year’s major fundraiser are Bill and Jean Hetrick.
Music will be presented by the Bothwell Middle school singers during the evening

A brief program will feature the Millie Award presented to an outstanding Special Olympic athlete and the inaugural John Dorais Community recognition plaque, awarded to a service organization or an individual for their commitment to our area.

Proceeds from the Trim the Tree event provide opportunities for more than 150 athletes to practice and compete in sporting events throughout the year.
