Shakespeare Readers will meet on Wednesday, October 3 at 6:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room for a reading of “Julius Caesar”.
Written around 1599, this tragedy centers around the 44 BC conspiracy against the Roman dictator, his assassination and the defeat of the conspirators at the Battle of Philippi. Julius Caesar is not the most visible character in its action. Marcus Brutus figures in the central psychological drama with his struggle between the conflicting demands of honor, patriotism and friendship.
Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the library and new members are always welcome.
