Manistique – A Central Park Celebration, to introduce everyone to Schoolcraft County's new recreational park, will be held on Saturday, July 19 beginning at 8 a.m.at the Little Bear West Arena Parking Lot Area at the north end of the football field in Manistique.
There will be food, wood carving demonstrations, archery demonstrations, arcade jumps and four performances of the Great Lakes Timber show throughout the day.
The Official Grand Opening will be at the bandshell at 10:30 a.m.
A Fishing Tournament will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The day will also include music and a chainsaw sculpture auction.
