Sands – The 5th Annual Flyapalooza model airplane event will be held on Saturday, September 1 beginning with registration at 8 a.m. at the Sands Model Airplane Club flying field on M553, 5 miles south of County Road 480.
A pilot meeting will be held at 9 a.m. followed by flying through 5 p.m. A helicopter demo will take place at noon. Raffle drawings also will be held.
Primitive camping is available on site. The event will feature the club’s new 60 by 100 foot runway. Turbine aircraft are welcome.
