Marquette – An Elder Law of Michigan Long Term Care Medicaid Boot Camp will be offered on Thursday, August 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Peter White Public Library.
Attorney and Michigan Medicaid expert David L. Shaltz will lead the program, with Paul A. Sturgul of Paul A. Sturgul Law Office in Hurley, Wisconsin and James B. Steward of Steward and Sheridan in Ishpeming.
The Boot Camp covers key topics such as estate recover, payment sources for long-term care, Medicaid spend-down, calculating patient pay amounts, and strategies for protecting the community spouse from impoverishment.
Proceeds from the training will go to support Elder Law of Michigan’s work for low income clients. Participants have a great opportunity to support Elder Law of Michigan while getting high-quality training in return.
